Ephemeral Markets LLC is developing a mobile application that individuals and small businesses will use to share information about flea markets, farmers markets, yard sales, art & wine festivals, swap meets and other spontaneous business opportunities.
We believe that this kind of intensely local and personal commerce is best served by the mobile devices we rely on every day. It deserves a mobile application that connects people by common interest and proximity. We intend to provide that app.
Our first as-yet-untitled application will be available for the iPhone in Q4 2012 and may be downloaded for free from the App Store. The app is coming to Android and Windows Mobile in the future, along with a version optimized for iPad.
If you are a vendor at a flea market, an artist presenting your work at a street fair, or a family parting with personal treasures at a yard sale, our app will put you in contact with people near you who want what you have. All you must do is publish a listing describing your event and location. Your listing can include photos and videos of as many items as you care to describe. You can modify or remove your listing at any time.
Ephemeral Markets LLC was founded in July 2012 in Campbell, California. As a new company, we are working hard to prepare for the release of our first product and establish business relationships with our technology partners. We hope to share more information soon about our progress.
